OES Towers High Above the Races
June 23, 2020
As cars race around the track at outrageous speeds, you could blink and miss something, but you certainly can’t miss the new LED Scoring Towers on race days in Georgia and Alabama, custom designed by OES Scoreboards. OES takes pride in designing scoring systems for various applications, and was enthused to have the opportunity to supply a solution that would be used for races like NASCAR.
The Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia was the first race track to receive two 3-Sided Pylon Displays for 12 Cars. They were installed just in time for their NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race last February: Folds of Honor QuickTrip 500. One month later, OES manufactured another 3-Sided Pylon Display for Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. That design displayed 10 Cars, and was used for the Izod IndyCar Series race in March: Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama.
Approaching 150 feet tall, the LED Scoring Towers are a landmark for Motor Speedways. OES is currently manufacturing a 4-Sided Pylon for the 1.5-mile quad-oval track at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.
